ABOUT 6 MINUTE ESCAPE

6 Minute Escape is the creative collaboration of visionary artist, painter, and multi-instrumentalist Mike Soloman and classically trained vocalist and film composer Michelle Carter. Formed in 1997, the duo has spent decades crafting a body of work that defies easy categorization, blending music, visual art, and immersive storytelling into a truly unique experience.

Their sonic journey has led them through a diverse landscape of projects, from the contemplative ambient series
A Meditative State, a four-part soundscape inspired by the changing seasons, to innovative multimedia productions. Currently in development - LESEDI, a full-scale live theatrical production that brings together narrative, performance, and visual art in a way that reflects the duo's distinct creative vision.

Looking ahead, 6 Minute Escape is set to release a new EP in summer 2025 titled Living Between the Frame Rates. This collection introduces a vibrant pop and rock energy while staying true to the cinematic and emotionally rich style that defines their sound.

MEET MIKE & MICHELLE
The Artists
MIKE
Mike Soloman is a Vancouver based artist and musician specializing in figurative oil painting and multi-instrumental musical soundscapes.
His work has been exhibited throughout North America for the past 20 years with his most recent shows being in Antigua West Indies and Kimoto Gallery in Vancouver.
Soloman has been writing and recording music for several decades and blending it with film is a recent exploration. Co- creator of musical duo 6 Minute Escape
His compositions share an ethereal, classically based feel with his visual art and is currently incorporating them together in an upcoming film "A Needle In The Valley: and several projects in the works with 6ME.
MICHELLE
Canadian Born, Los Angeles based classically trained singer since the age of 11, Michelle has lived a life immersed in music. In several bands prior to focusing more on film composition in recent years. As a versatile composer, she has scored films across genres from comedy, horror and romcom to docs, PSAs and commercials. She has continually created meditation music for many years, with a deep passion for healing through sound and music. Currently also contributes her compositions regularly to premium production music libraries like PremiumBeat and Shutterstock. In 2023, her choral peice "Hymns of Dawn" was choses to be included in a Composer Master Series, recorded with a live choir at the legendary Hollywood Scoring In Los Angeles.
Co-Creator of the band 6 Minute Escape with Mike Soloman, which channels her creativity and passion for music. Lots of exciting announcements coming in 2025.
With decades of experience as a performer, songwriter and now film composer combined with formal opera training, she brings a unique musical sensibility to every project. Michelle's passion for music shines through in the emotional, cinematic quality of her compositions.
